Waiting
I left the house at 5:30 and headed up to the South end of the Blue Ridge Parkway only to find that it was closed. So I quickly headed to the north end and found a nice overlook facing a really amazing cloud inversion. I set up my composition and waited. Clouds started to form in the sky, unfortunately blocking the sun from shining on the foreground of my image. I just kept waiting for that window of light. For about 15 seconds the sun broke through and illuminated that trees in the foreground of my image. I knew that I had what I was looking for and packed up right after this shot.
