Head In The Clouds
I drove through storms on my way up to Craggy Gardens but for some reason I kept going. I arrived to the Pinnacle parking lot to find myself buried in thick fog. I unpacked my gear and made my way up the muddy path. I decided to go down the less traveled lower overlook path and found a nice little spot with a rock big enough for my equipment and enough room for me to lay down and wait :) The clouds cleared on and off for the better part of 3 hours. As sunset rapidly approached I found myself still inside a cloud. I turned up the music and hoped for the best. About 20 minutes before sunset the clouds finally broke and the warm embrace from the sun finally blasted through. I think what I took from this is this, if you make the journey up then you might as well see it through. It doesn't always pay off but when it does.... Damn, it really does.
