Shrouded
Sometimes I find myself staring at the ceiling in my bedroom for hours on end.. Tossing and turning but never finding sleep. When that happens I tend to get up, get dressed and head up the parkway. I traveled for 45 minutes in heavy fog and then it finally broke at the Pounding Mill Overlook. I got my trusty 70-200 lens and framed looking glass rock. Low lying clouds started to roll in the frame and I decided to snap the image just as they covered the front of the rock. Nature always amazes me and this morning was no different.

on June 3, 2015Well worth the drive, Justin. Beautiful image. I've only shot from Pounding Mill Overlook once, but it was a very memorable sunrise, and I loved the fog filled valley.
