All summer long WNC was in near drought conditions with a lack of rain. Over the past week we have had rain just about everyday. The fall colors were in full display at Graveyard fields and the rain has provided a cornucopia of water in the riverbed. Water seemed to be flowing from every direction, even out of the woods as seen in the image above. It is funny how we always talk about drought and how bad things can get and then within a few days all the negative talk was almost literally washed away by steady rains.
