Sometimes my Wife and I just go for rides, rides with no destination in mind that sometimes take us no where and everywhere all in the same day. This particular day it was raining (as it has been for days now). We made our way up to the parkway, down highway 215 and ultimately through highlands on Highway 64. We arrived at Dry Falls around 1 pm and the parking lot was full of cars and buses filled with people. We quietly made our way through the clouds and I set my tripod up on a rock, framed my shot and then we waited. Groups of people kept piling in and walking right into the frame. But as with all things, patience is a virtue and after waiting for about 20 minutes my frame was clear of people for the 8th of a second needed to capture this shot. As you can see the first signs of fall were already beginning to show and I'm sure they will rapidly change and fall making themselves bare and ready for the winter to come.
